DATES WITH BACON

Ingredients

  • 800g Dates
  • 800g Bacon
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 20ml Olive oil

Instructions

  • Cut the bacon into 1"pieces
  • Heat a thick bottom pan and pour in the oil
  • Once the pan is smoking hot add the bacon and cook till starting to colour
  • Add to the pan the dates and fry for a further 3-4 minutes
  • Season with the salt and pepper and leave to cool in a covered tray
  • Keep in the fridge till needed
  • Remove from the fridge 1 hour before use
