BUTTER LOAF / BURGER BUN

Prep/Cooking Time: 60-90 Minutes

Ingredients

1 Egg

Instructions

Place the dry ingredients in a small machine bowl with a dough hook
Place the milk in a pan to warm to about body temperature
Crack the egg and whisk with a fork, reserve
Melt the butter and reserve

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix till a smooth dough is achieved
Mix for 4 minutes
Remove from the machine and cover with a damp cloth
Leave till doubled in size

Turn out the dough onto a flat dry surface
Portion and shape as required
For a loaf place in the oiled tin and cover wth the damp cloth
Leave to rise over the top of the pan
For buns place on a tray and cover with a damp cloth
Prove till doubled in size

Beat the egg and brush the tops

Cook in a preheated oven at 360f
Loaf will take 40+ minutes whereas buns will take 20-25 minutes

Once cooked cool to room temperature to package or use
